About Us - Mainely Wanders

Welcome to Mainely Wanders! We’re the Newlon family, and we have a deep love for Maine Coons.

Our life looks a little different from most families. We live and travel full-time in our fifth wheel RV because of my husband’s work. Our home may be on wheels, but it is always filled with family, laughter, and plenty of cats.

Why "Mainely Wanders"?

The name Mainely Wanders combines two important parts of our life.

“Mainely” represents our love for Maine Coons. “Wanders” represents our life on the road.

Together, the name fits our family perfectly. We travel wherever work takes us while raising our cats as part of our everyday family life.

Our Journey as a Maine Coon Cattery

I have loved Maine Coons for as long as I can remember. However, that love grew even stronger when Axel joined our family.

Axel is our classic black silver tabby. After bringing him home, we knew we wanted to share this amazing breed with other families.

That dream became Mainely Wanders. We created a small Maine Coon cattery focused on healthy, well-loved, and social kittens.

Life on the Road

Living in an RV may seem unusual, but it works well for our family.

Our cats live inside our home with us. They have climbing towers, comfortable sleeping spaces, toys, and sunny windows for lounging.

Because we live closely together, we spend a lot of time with our cats and kittens. They grow up around normal family sounds, children, playtime, and plenty of attention.

Our space may be smaller than a traditional home. Still, it is full of love and everything our cats need.

Family First

We are a homeschooling family, so our children spend each day with the cats and kittens.

They help with playtime, cuddles, and socialization. As a result, our kittens become comfortable around children and everyday family life.

We want every kitten to leave us feeling confident, loved, and ready for their new home.

Our Mission

At Mainely Wanders, our cats always come first.

We keep our breeding program small so we can give each cat and kitten individual care. We focus on health, temperament, proper socialization, and responsible breeding.

Most importantly, we want to help families find a loving Maine Coon companion.
