Why "Mainely Wanders"?

The name Mainely Wanders reflects the heart of who we are. It’s a nod to our deep love for Maine Coons, a breed that has captured our hearts, and to our nomadic lifestyle. Thanks to my husband’s work, we live full-time in a fifth wheel RV, traveling wherever life takes us. Though our home may be on wheels, it’s filled with love, laughter, and the gentle purrs of our furry family members.

Our Maine Coon Journey

My love for Maine Coons has been a lifelong story, one that became even richer when we brought Axel, our classic black silver tabby, into our lives. From that moment, we knew we wanted to share the wonder of these majestic cats with others. Mainely Wanders was born from this dream—a cattery dedicated to preserving the breed’s pedigree, health, and remarkable temperament while bringing smiles and love to new families.

Life on the Road

Living on the road might seem unconventional, but for us, it’s a life filled with beauty and freedom. Our in-home cattery operates right from our fifth wheel, where our cats and kittens are raised as cherished members of our family. While our living space may be cozy, we ensure our cats have everything they need to thrive—from climbing towers to sunny windowsills perfect for lounging. Our journey proves that a home’s size doesn’t determine its heart.

Family First

As a homeschooling mom, I have the incredible privilege of spending every day with our kids, who are not just students but vital members of our cattery. They pour their hearts into socializing our kittens, showering them with love, attention, and plenty of play. Their laughter and care make our kittens confident, affectionate, and ready to bring joy to their new homes. Our family’s bond extends to every kitten we raise, making them truly special.
